Pride Month (June) is the month where we celebrate lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer and asexual people. We take the time to acknowledge their contributions to the world, we commemorate those we have lost and we celebrate the vibrant world of queer folks everywhere.
"We have to do it because we can no longer stay invisible. We have to be visible. We should not be ashamed of who we are. We have to show the world that we are numerous. There are many of us out there."
Sylvia Rivera, proud Hispanic and Latinx drag queen & veteran of the 1969 Stonewall Inn uprising, the event that led to the creation of Pride Month.
