ChillOut Festival

The long weekend in March

 ChillOut Festival is Australia's premier regional LGBTQIA+ pride event, held annually in Daylesford, Victoria — over the Labour Day long weekend in March.


From humble beginnings in 1997, ChillOut Festival has grown to become Australia's largest and longest running queer country pride festival. Attracting over 30K+ visitorsto the region across the festival weekend.

2025

Rainbow Pride Bus

 The Rainbow Shuttle Bus was a direct ride from Ballarat to Daylesford on the day of the parade and carnival.


A partnership between ChillOut and the City of Ballarat. 

2024

Rainbow Pride Bus

Organised by the ChillOut festival and supported by the City of Ballarat, the Rainbow Shuttle Bus was a fully accessible, direct ride from Ballarat to Daylesford on the day of the parade and carnival.

ChillOut Parade

Members of the Ballarat LGBTIQA+ community have marched in the ChillOut parade for a number of years, but in 2024 they were joined by council staff to celebrate and support LGBTIQA+ people around Victoria.

The City of Ballarat acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land we live and work on, the Wadawurrung and Dja Dja Wurrung People, and recognises their continuing connection to the land and waterways. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging and extend this to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People.
