Transgender Awareness Week, observed November 13 to November 19, is a one-week celebration leading up to the Transgender Day of Remembrance, which memorializes victims of transphobic violence.
Fri 1st Nov - Sat 30th Nov, opening night Friday 1st November 5.30pm-7.30pm
We Are Here aims to create a space where trans and gender diverse artists can express themselves authentically and showcase their unique perspectives. Through various forms of art such as painting, photography, sculpture, and more, you can share your stories, struggles, and triumphs with the world.
We Are Here is proudly presented by the City of Ballarat and it’s LGBTIQA+ Advisory Committee in partnership with TBH Studio as part of Trans Awareness Week.

On the weekend, we celebrated the end of Trans Week of Visibility with a picnic by Lake Wendouree. Healthy food was provided by the Ballarat Council and Tiny Pride and some of our trans and gender diverse communities spent a lovely couple of hours in the sun by the lake. Trans and gender diverse people make our broader community richer and more diverse and we were delighted to celebrate them in such a joyous way.
A free Trans and Gender Diverse yoga class for all ages and abilities is scheduled for the afternoon of the 18th of November with our awesome yoga teacher, Michelle, in celebration of Transgender Awareness Week!
The class is for Trans and Gender Diverse people and their allies
