14 June
Is there an issue that you are passionate about this Pride Month? Is there something making you mad? Would stabbing something thousands of times help? If yes, maybe craftivist embroidery, where craft and activism come together, is for you! Step into the world of embroidered craftivism with local queer craftivist Lauren Matthews and be inspired to create art for change.
This workshop takes you through the what and the why of craftivist embroidery, how to plan your project, basic embroidery stitches to get you started, resources and lots more. After the workshop you will have a great impactful artwork ready for action!
Included in the workshop are all materials (so you can finish it up at home or keep making more), plus a copy of Lauren's Craftivist Zine! Basic embroidery skills are all that are needed & if you're not confident Lauren can teach you a few to get started.
15+, those under 18 need to be accompanied by an adult.
